Tanya Markvart
Markvart’s work explores the interconnected spiritual, psychological and physical dimensions of how people interpret and experience the world. From this standpoint, her featured series, The Spring Shoreline, depicts the ancient geologic landscape of the north Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. The paintings explore the link between internal and external environments to illuminate how one shapes our understanding of the other. Many of her pieces are completed with acrylic ink on panel, intentionally incorporating the wood grain.
